According to company documents (www.sidingsaver.ca), the US Patent  applies to the innovative mounting bracket used to install items such as satellite dishes, plant hangers, lighting fixtures, and outdoor accessories to the exterior of a home. 

The unique design overcomes the challenge of providing a flat and level mounting surface over vinyl and aluminum siding without causing any damage to the siding.
